General Meeting
July 11, 2010
The meeting was called to order by Vice-President Mary Cieszynski. Mary announced that President Janet Mohr has been in the hospital since Wednesday, but is doing better and expects to be released soon. Mary reminded us to keep all of the singles who are ill in our thoughts and prayers and to send a card to let them know we are thinking of them.
Elaine Yielding, Secretary called for approval of minutes from the June meeting as posted on the web-site. Bob Pittenridge and Valerie McNelley approved the minutes as posted.
Mary read a long list of July birthdays and those present stood while they were serenaded with the Birthday song.
Mollie McErlean, Treasurer announced that her computer has crashed so she was unable to give a report for this month.
Mary announced that Marie Minns will no longer be doing all of the Web-Site work. Dan Miczek has rejoined the club and will be taking over as Web-Administrator. Mary and the members thanked Marie for all of her very hard work and dedication in taking on the difficult job of the Web-Site and the activities sheets.
Mary asked Claudia who is our Publication Chairman if she had any announcements. She did not. Mary thanked her for the very good job she is doing with the articles for the PebbleCreek Post.
Mary asked Bonnie Hulson to come up and go over upcoming events. She said there are four tickets available for the Wednesday Culinary trip. If anyone was interested see her after the meeting or call her. She also said to be sure to come to the monthly Billiards on the 4th Tuesday. They will now start at 9:00 A.M. with Breakfast at the club House Grill on Indian School and Litchfield. There will a Pictionary and Pizza event, a trip to the Mineral Museum, and The Dolly Steamboat on Canyon Lake. Be sure to visit the back table or website to sign up. Bonnie reminded us that if there are not enough drivers for a trip that it will be canceled.
Bob Pittenridge told us about the Wet and Wild event on July 28—sign up soon as it will close. Casual bowling will be cancelled until in September . Watch for Bob’s announcement of when it will restart.
Mary announced that she will have information on the Relay for Life in August. The meeting was adjourned at 3:25 and members went to the lounge to celebrate birthdays with cake .
